POEMS (old stories in poem form)
THIRSTY CROW
A Smart Little Thirsty Crow
Went in Search with Sorrow
Found a Jar with Neck Narrow
Where Water was Less and Low
Finding Pebbles in a Heap
Relieved itself of its Weep
It Rushed and Flew with Joy and Fun
Dropped Pebbles into Jar one by one
Oh ! The Jar Water Rose and Rose
It Drank , quenched, Flew & Rose
(Moral : IF THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY )
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CROW & FOX
A Big Stupid Wandering Crow
Picked a Loaf from A Shop Below
Went & Sat on a Tree Branch Above
When a cunning Little Fox There Came
And Praised the Crow "Sing Your Fame"
Crow Openee Its Bloody Mouth
Fell the Bread Piece Down South
Ran the Lucky Fox All in Bumps
Took the Bread and Vanished in Jumps
(Moral : " BEWARE OF FALSE PRAISES")
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CROW & ITS STOLEN EGGS
Once on a Tree Very Tall
Lived A Couple of Birds with All
Laid eggs Watched Night and Day
But Their Eggs Vanished Every Day
Found A Snake-hole Down Below
Wondered & Worried "bout that Fellow
Sought the Advice of Friend Jackal
Whose Head was Full Brain All
Crow Stole the Necklace of Queen
Dropped into Snake-hole Unseen
Soldiers with Sticks Reached the Hole
Smashed It & Ran the Snake from Hole
Servants Found the Queen's Necklace
Crow Smiled with Joy on Face
(Moral : "WISER COUNSEL ALWAYS HELPS")
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE MONKEY & THE CROCODILE
Eating Fruits with Gay
On a Tree Near a Bay
A Monkey with Full of Grace
Called A Crocodile With Teeth Like Mace
Gave The Fruits To Its Bellyful
And Gave Some For Its Beautiful
Hearing About the Friend Monkey
Wife suggested Food "Liver of Monkey"
For It would Taste with Fruit Flavour
Husband agreed and Took Friend Dear
On His back to the Pond side
Sensing Trouble Monkey Said
"Take Me Back to My Side There
For My Liver is Stored On That Tree
And I"ll Fetch & Make It Free"
Reptile Swam & Took Monkey Back
When the Monkey Jumped to its Track
Relieved, it Showed its Teeth
Angered. Reptile Ground its Teeth
In Despair & Dismay It Found Its Way
And the Monkey Jumped & Went Away

Why not welcome rain with 'மழையே மழையே வா வா' instead of saying 'Rain Rain Go Away'
